Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.'
I've been thinking about the undercurrent in our lives. With so much happening in the world, I fear we are being sucked under, sucked in, getting lost. We are players without a direction.
I took the News Quiz today after reading about Hurricane Delta, the Covid, and cancer causing drugs. I actually did pretty good, meaning I've been listening to the news this week. For the last couple of years, I've tried to avoid the news and learning about current events. But, that's probably selfish.
My outlook about current events needs adjusting. Can I learn something that will move me to help someone, something, or some place. Maybe my being selfish can turn into unselfish. Maybe I can be more than "merely a player". I'm going to work on this with this in mind - What actions can I take to move in opposition of the negative undercurrent?
And as my mentor said in her message today - "But you're not 'merely players.' You are messengers and ambassadors". Have a great week and be kind.
